Did you know that the Madera Fossil Discovery Center is the largest middle-pleistocene fossil excavations in North America? It sure is! And we get to experience it! Pretending to be a Paleontologist allows us to dig up bones and study what the Earth is made up of. We also experienced some of their exhbits that included some fossils from extinct animals. In one of the exhbits we found a replica of a 13 foot Columbian Mammoth! Definitely a fun but very educating field trip! |
