It's May Day! Many countries around the world have festivals in celebration of springtime during this month. Kids Kare is celebrating sprintime by making our own May Day flowers and we're delivering them to some special people! Making the flowers were so much fun! We made flowers out of coffee filters that have been dyed from makers and water. Once they have dried, we get the filters all twisted and fluffed up to imitate a carnation flower. Now it's time for our most favorite part. We take a quick field trip to our nearest retirement home and hand deliver our special handmade flowers to their guests. This special delivery sure put a smile on not only the guest's face but on the children as well. Happy May Day, we love spring! |
