It's raining, it's pouring... and our kids (and our local farmers) couldn't be happier! These week we learned all about the weather and wind. We also focused on shadows since Groundhog Day was Sunday February 2nd. We spoke about the yearly event in Pennsylvania and how Phil the Groundhog saw his shadow, which signals 6 more weeks of Winter. With the arrival of the rain, the children were able to experience diffrent types of weather this week and graphed it during Circle Time. The children even made their own paper bags kites and were able to fly them in the wind one afternoon, learning first hand how the wind filled up the bag and helped them soar. |
