The cold and wet weather sent children indoor to be engaged in another kind of exploration. Yesterday preschoolers were having fun examining how different materials absorb cold from ice cubes. Holding the ice in a bear hand was very cold, and impressed the cheerful scientists, they were intrigued by the fact that holding ice cubes with a felt mitten did not feel chilly at all… In another station children were investigating oranges. They observed and drew them, then had the opportunity to squeeze the oranges and make their own sweet and refreshing juice. |
