The Chinese culture has a lot of traditions that they still follow even up to today. One of the tradition is celebrating the chinese new year. So, during this week we learned all about the celebrations that occure during the Chinese New Year. One of the tradition includes giving out lucky red envelopes that may be filled with money to bless them for the year. Another tradition we learned about was that they believed it was important to do some spring cleaning so that it can help get rid of the bad luck. We loved learning aout the Asian and Chinese culture so much, we ended the lesson with a dragon parade and even got to sample some white jasmine rice with chopsticks which is a staple to the asian community. Happy Chinese New Year or Kung Hei Fat Choy!
