Fall is here and once again Kids Kare Schools Preschoolers ride the school bus to one of their favorite locations. Here they learn through innovative hands-on activities. This time the theme of the field trip to San Joaquin River Parkway is Fish Friends. During the rainbow fish story reading they talk about sharing. Following the reading the children receive rainbow fish crackers to feed to the fish in the pond. In the arts and craft portion of the learning, children are able to create their own cutouts of rainbow fish swimming in the San Joaquin River. The excited preschoolers use fishing polls to learn about the life cycle of fish. The children “fish” information cards later to be read by the teacher.
This is a remarkable field trip in which children are highly enthusiastic about everything they do. We would like to thank the wonderful volunteers who contribute so much to a meaningful fun learning experiences of Kids Kare Schools Children. |
