Children had fun learning about
Poi, which means “ball” in Maori, is a form of performance art where tethered balls are swung in circular patterns and after mastering the art, are lit on fire. They got to watch a demonstration and then practiced with their streamer balls. We also watched the glass blowers sculpt and work the molten hot glass into beautiful works of art that were displayed all around the gallery.
