Did you know that there are over 3 million fish that call the San Joaquin Fish hatchery home? Eventually most of those fish will be dropped via airplane into to waters of Millerton Lake to live a happy life in the water. The kids were able to learn about the life cycle of the fish and see them in various stages... starting from just a few weeks old, that were small enought to hold a few in the plam of your hands all the way up to a few years old who were big and hungry! The kids were also given the opportunity to feed the hungry fish, which was a treat to see them jumping and splashing in the water to get the food before their even hungrier friends!
