Yesterday our preschoolers enjoyed a visit from a Valley Children’s Hospital nurse. The lady shared with the children the importance of washing hands, and instructed them how to wash their hands efficiently. Children were “washing” their hands with soap, thoroughly “to get rid of germs,” while singing the “Happy Birthday” song twice. They learned that for efficient washing, this is how long applying the soap to all parts of their hands should take. At the conclusion of the lesson, children painted dittos. The nurse did not leave before expressing her highly positive impression from the children and the school. We were happy to have her as a guest and to add another educational experience for our young achievers. |
