Yesterday we reported one school which chose to celebrate the end of summer by throwing a formal party. Today, we witnessed the throwing of something entirely different. In the school we visited today, teachers gave the children permission to throw “pies” at them. Everyone came to observe this amusing event. Children were given the turn of approaching their favorite teacher and rubbing whipping cream over their faces. This was a bitter sweet experience for the teachers involved, and pure fun for the children who go back to school this coming Monday. |
